CURRY 4 FLOTRO SAMPLE ‘FILLMORE 4’

Release Date: N/A

The Curry Brand Curry 4 Flotro ‘Fillmore 4’ draws inspiration from the animated feature GOAT, produced by Unanimous Media, the media company founded by Stephen Curry. The film follows the journey of aspiring basketball player Will Harris, a character loosely inspired by Curry’s own rise through the basketball world and the challenges he faced as an undersized prospect striving to prove himself at the highest level.

The design narrative behind the “Fillmore 4” centers around one of the film’s most defining moments. In GOAT, Will Harris is forced to sell his prized pair of “Fillmore 4” sneakers to a reseller in order to pay his rent, which turns into a key moment that leads Will into the professional world of Roarball. The reseller character, a vulture named Sneaky, is voiced by Joe La Puma, widely recognized within sneaker culture for his work covering footwear and streetwear.

The real-life Curry Brand Curry 4 FloTro ‘Fillmore 4’ faithfully brings to life the fictional sneaker featured in the film. Inspired by the character Jett Fillmore — voiced by Gabrielle Union — the shoe pays tribute to Will Harris’ childhood hero. The upper is dressed in “Vineland Green,” a direct reference from the movie, while the side paneling incorporates a black gradient accented by geometric thorn graphics, a call-back to their team, the Vineland Thorns. Additional design elements include Jett Fillmore’s logo embossed on the ankle and a vibrant red FloTro outsole.

Further fueling excitement around the films release, Joe La Puma later revealed on social media that he had received a gifted pair of the highly exclusive “Fillmore 4” from the Under Armour and Curry Brand team. It’s rumored that the “Fillmore 4” was produced in extremely limited quantities and distributed only to individuals involved with the film, as well as select sneaker influencers.
