Jimmy Butler gave Stephen Curry a new nickname upon arriving in Golden State in early 2025, dubbing himself Robin to Curry’s Batman. But long before this playful moniker, Curry already had a sneaker inspired by the Dark Knight.
The Curry 2 ‘Black Knight’ draws design inspiration from the Curry 1 Championship Pack, featuring an all-black upper paired with a vibrant yellow outsole—the same iconic color palette associated with the Caped Crusader. Additional Batman-themed details include a tongue patch and insole graphic displaying a Bat-Signal–inspired SC30 logo projected over the Bay Bridge.
Stephen Curry debuted the ‘Black Knight’ on January 30, 2016, during a tight 108–105 road victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. He delivered a well-rounded performance with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and a 5-for-11 effort from three-point range.
