The Curry 2 is presented in a USA-inspired colorway featuring a predominantly White upper accented with Blue detailing and subtle Red highlights. Additional elements include speckled laces, a gradient midsole, and a clean all-White rubber outsole.
Stephen Curry first debuted this patriotic edition on August 11, 2015, during a summer mini-camp held in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. However, following an MCL sprain sustained during the 2016 Playoffs against the Houston Rockets—a setback that continued to affect him throughout the NBA Finals—Curry ultimately opted to forgo Olympic participation that summer in order to prioritize recovery during the off-season.
