Curry Brand Anatomix Spawn Flotro “SLAM 30th Anniversary”

Release Date: N/A

To commemorate SLAM magazine’s 30th anniversary, the iconic basketball media outlet partnered with several footwear brands to release a collaborative collection of basketball sneakers inspired by legendary players and their most memorable SLAM covers. Among the collection, Stephen Curry stands out as the only athlete to be featured with a two-shoe set: the Curry 12 and the Flotro Anatomix Spawn.

This exclusive Friends and Family edition of the Anatomix Spawn Flotro pays tribute to Curry’s first SLAM cover—Issue #173 from December 2013—where he was dubbed “The Can’t Miss Kid.” At the time, Curry was photographed wearing the original Under Armour Anatomix Spawn, the first silhouette he wore with the brand to start the 2013–2014 NBA season. While the original pair featured a mix of blue, purple, and teal, the cover image was digitally altered to reflect the Golden State Warriors’ signature royal blue and golden yellow color scheme.

The Spawn Flotro design draws direct inspiration from that photoshopped cover. It features a custom graphic collage of Curry’s various SLAM covers over the years, with torn-paper detailing to evoke the nostalgic imagery of fans ripping pages out to hang on their bedroom walls. The royal blue upper anchors the design, complemented by a SLAM-branded woven label on the heel. Each pair is individually numbered, with only 30 pairs produced worldwide.

The shoes made their first on-court appearance with Stephen Curry wearing the pair during the pre-game warmups on December 8, 2024, ahead of a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But Curry made their first in-game debut in a rematch against the Timberwolves on December 21, 2024, where the Warriors secured a 113–103 victory, with Curry contributing 31 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal, and shooting 7-for-16 from beyond the arc.
