Under Armour Curry 4 Sample ‘Championship Pack’
Release Date: Unknown
The Under Armour Curry 4 Sample ‘Championship Pack’ remains one of the most elusive sneaker releases in Curry Brand history. Unlike traditional retail launches, this particular edition was never officially released through Under Armour or its retail partners. Instead, the shoes surfaced exclusively at Ross Dress for Less, a discount department store chain known for purchasing excess inventory, closeouts, and discontinued products from major brands at significantly reduced prices.
It is widely speculated that Under Armour produced a limited quantity of these Curry 4 Samples, initially intended for the official release of the Curry 4 ‘Championship Pack.’ However, at some point in the process, it appears the design was altered, and the unused samples were subsequently sold to Ross. By early February 2021, these rare sneakers began appearing in select Ross locations across the United States.
While the Sample Curry 4 ‘Championship Pack’ closely resembles the officially released version, there are a few notable distinctions:
Upper Material: The sample version features a smooth synthetic leather upper, whereas the retail version incorporates faux suede.
Size Tag: The inner size tag prominently displays “SAMPLE” on the top line, differentiating it from the retail pairs.
Heel Logo: On the sample version, the UA logo at the bottom of the heel is white, while the official retail release features a gold logo.
The unexpected appearance of these samples at Ross made them an instant collector’s item, adding to the mystique of this unreleased Curry sneaker.
