Curry 5 ‘Championship Pack  - Black’

Release Date: June 1, 2018

To commemorate Stephen Curry’s fourth consecutive NBA Finals appearance in 2018 and the Golden State Warriors’ pursuit of back-to-back championships, Under Armour released the Curry 5 ‘Championship Pack’. Sold as two separate pairs, the Black edition featured a sleek all-black upper with gold accents on the heel and tongue, along with gold speckles on the midsole and a translucent outsole, symbolizing championship excellence.

On June 3, 2018, during Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Curry debuted the Black Curry 5 Championship Pack on court—and delivered a record-breaking performance. In a convincing Warriors victory, Curry set the NBA Finals record for most three-pointers in a single game, knocking down 9 triples. The defining moment came in the fourth quarter, when he executed a backward escape dribble beyond the three-point line, evading Kevin Love, before launching a high-arcing, buzzer-beating three-pointer to beat the shot clock—a signature highlight in Curry’s legendary Finals career.

This game further solidified Curry’s status as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, with the Black Curry 5 ‘Championship Pack’ serving as a fitting tribute to his dominance on basketball’s biggest stage.
